That on the 19th day of July, 1837, George Wallis, the claimant, made a contract with Major General Gaines, on the part of the Government of the United States, to feed the Sac, Fox, Iowa, and Pottawatomie tribes of Indians. One page 8vo, disbound. (Washington): Blair & Rives, 1844. First Edition. Very good George Wallis drove his cattle onto their tribal lands. Several witnesses of his testified that some of his cattle was killed or driven away by some members of the above tribes.
