" quoted from the first paragraph of Chapter One. Laid in is a holograph note on Mulvihill's personalized 8.5 X 11 inch stationery dated "Oct 17, 1999" in which Mulvihill thanks his correspondent for "kind words about the novel" and explains "that a bad movie was made of the SANDS (but) another group is now working on a re-make (and) a rewrite of the SANDS is now in print." Signed "William Mulvihill."Aprx sixty words. Folded in half with one edge lightly creased. The book has a small owner bookplate affixed to the front pastedown and a small Lauriats Books sticker on the front free edndpage; the dustjacket has just touched front panel corners.
