Occasional light foxing, usually peripheral in location, through the text material. 193-176pp. The first English edition of this work was published in three volumes in the same year, 1841. Frederick Marryat (1792-1848) was a naval Captain and was noted for his sea-faring adventure novels written for adults. He wrote several children's books late in his career. His works were admired by Joseph Conrad and Ernest Hemingway among many others. This novel relates the adventures of the poacher, James Rushbrook. 193-176pp..
