Both volumes have eight color plates and numerous black and white illustrations made by The Meriden Gravure Co., Meriden, CT. Bound in publisher's original rust cloth with the spines stamped in gilt and in rust cloth covered slipcases. Top edges are gilt. Volume I: The Primitives, is limited to 500 numbered copies. Volume II: Harunobu, Koryusai, Shigemasa, Their Followers and Contemporaries, is limited to 1,000 copies. The volumes measure 15.75 by 12.25 inches (40 by 31.1 cm), Image upon request.
