[Columbus?, 1881. Caption title [as issued], 4pp, folded, Near Fine. A Democratic attack on the Ohio Republican Party, Republican Governor Charles Foster [who had first been elected to that office in 1879], and the Republican-controlled legislature. This pamphlet tries to tar Foster as a greedy politician feeding at the trough of a corrupt "spoils system." "A volume would not answer to record the many misdeeds of Governor Foster's Administration, including those of his Legislature...Never was there such a disregard of the interests of the State." For a generally favorable sketch of Foster's career, including his opposition to the spoils system, see DAB. FIRST EDITION. Not in Thomson. 606 NUC 0408270 [1]. (Inventory #: 15768)
