"We come to celebrate a nuptial feast! The lord of the Chesapeake weds the fair daughter of the Father of Waters." Drake and others celebrate the successful completion of a transportation route between Baltimore and St. Louis, and the fraternal linking of the two cities. Drake rode the "iron-clad and steam-breathing courser" to Baltimore as part of the celebration.
