With twelve finely engraved plates of women in native national costumes, each tissue guard with a leaf of descriptive text. Spine restored. A lovely collection of costume plates from the makers of Heath's Picturesque Annual. The plates depict the costume of Turkey, Milan, Persia, and Switzerland, as well as the costume of the courts of Louis XII and Charles VII, among others. (Inventory #: 1087)
