Introductory text and explanatory notes, this exquisite work presents a pictorial survey of prominent Italian gardens. Age-wear on binding with spine and joints reinforced and covered with tan cloth. Covers rubbed, with abrasion on front cover and title label. String ties partly missing. Previous owner's stamp (Russell E. Collins) on inside of covers and at margin of plates (not affecting images). Moderate creasing and sporadic soiling along margin of text pages. Text and captions in French.
