First U.S. edition of the screenplay, edited by Helen C. Scott, and with English dialogue by Jan Dowson. Inscribed and signed by Truffaut: "Pour Liz-Anne affectueusement, Francois." The recipient, Liz-Anne Bawden, was editor of THE OXFORD COMPANION TO FILM (1976), and lecturer on Film at the Slade School.
