28 drawings which originally appeared in the New Yorker, collected here with a foreword by Thurber and issued as a keepsake by his English publisher, Hamish Hamilton. There was no equivalent American edition. Hamish Hamilton issued A Thurber Garland without a dust jacket, but enclosed it in a brown cardboard box which had a large pictorial mailing label with a Thurber drawing of a dog, beside which it reads "A Thurber Garland."
