New Jersey, 1959. Unbound. Near Fine. Three 13" x 16" black and white photographs mounted on white cardboard. Near fine with slight wear on the cardboard. A small group of photographs entered into photo contest with entry information and camera club stickers on the verso. These photos were displayed in the Newark, New Jersey International Photography Competition and the New York Salon in 1955, 1956, and 1959. One the verso of each is a description of the photographic techniques along with stamps from exhibitions and stickers from the Tri-County Camera Club, the Art in Sussex County Exhibition, N.J. Federation of Camera Clubs, and the Metropolitan Camera Club Council Incorporation. Two of the photographs are of boats on the water with an emphasis on the sun light's affect on the water and clouds. The third, entitled "I walk alone," of a man walking under a street lamp at night won second prize in a competition held by the Tri County Camera Club. Based in New Jersey, the Tri County Camera Club, or TCCC, has been active for the last 60 years bringing together photographers from Hudson, Essex and Bergen counties with an early emphasis on black and white photography, as seen here.
