The Hawks and Owls of the United States in their Relation to Agriculture.
1893. · Washington:
by Fisher, A.K.
8vo, original cloth, gilt title on spine, illustrated, 210 pp. Some wear to extremities and spine head, hinges a little weak, but still very firm, some aging and browning, some tissue guards are a little creased; otherwise very good and a nice copy overall. This work, which was put out by the Department of Agriculture, includes 26 attractive chromolithographs, including plates featuring the Bold and Golden Eagles. The premise of this title is that most of these birds provide an economic advantage to the farmer and should be protected. (Inventory #: 103291)
