FIRST EDITION of Magnus's especially fine ophthalmoscopic folio atlas, one of several superb atlases that took advantage of color lithography and the development of the ophthalmoscope. The plates were designed by the author who was at the time an assistant at the ophthalmological clinic of Carl Friedrich Richard Forster (1825-1902) at Breslau, to whom the atlas is dedicated.
