London: Bradbury and Evans, 1857 First edition, first state with signature mark B2 for 2B2 and "Rigaud" instead of "Blandois" in pp. 467-74. Half burgundy morocco over burgundy cloth boards, all edges gilt. Thick octavo. Forty engraved plates by Hablot K. Browne, including frontispiece and vignette title. Top corners bumped, light wear to joints. Some light foxing to plates. A very good copy. This was one of Dickens's most popular novels.
