by Boehm, Antony Wilhelm, 1673-1722
London: Joseph Downing, 1709. First Edition in English. Octavo. 2nd printing(?) 33p. Boehm was the chaplain to the royal highness Prince George died at Kensington in 1708. A popular sermon that concerned the spiritual condition of the late Prince. His passive personality left the matter of governing to his wife Anne, while he devoted himself to building model boats and eating vast amounts of food. The funeral sermon says very little about him but mentions a gift toward orphans and nothing else of significance. Bound in modern cloth, paper pastedown label lettered in black. Tiny spot to front board. A very nice copy.
