Sikkim is a tiny region in the eastern Himalayas yet has some of the most spectacular scenery with the spring flora a focus for those visiting the area. The Indo-Japanese Botanical Expedition was sent to Sikkim and the Durjeeling and Kalimpong districts in the spring of 1960. The beautiful color and black-and-white photographs show the uniqueness of a regions that has many of the same species of flowers found in Japan.
