All from the library of Civil War historian Bud Robertson, with his bookplate on the front pastedowns (in 3 of the volumes his bookplate is on top of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion bookplate). As Robertson says in his Military Aspects --Soldier Life section of the Nevins bibliography, while "[t]he accounts vary wide, in accuracy and quality", they contain "personal reminiscences in camp, battle and prison" and can yield "useful nuggets" [Nevins I, 131].
