A TNS laid in on Random House stationary from Michaael F Pratt, dated May 21, 1987, that states: "Dear Colleague: May 30th marks the first anniversay of the death of Donald Klopfer who, along with Bennett Cerf, founded Random House. During the past year, we have assembled reminiscences from some of Donald's oldest and closest friends in the publishing world, and collected them in this volume. I thought you would like to have this copy as a way of remembering Donald and what he has meant, and continues to mean, to Random House and to the world of books. Most Sincerely, Michael."
