Written by Harry Bradley to Dr. Fairbanks, with the hopes that he will be appointed to the post of Collector, since William Henry Harrison has captured the Presidency: "...General Harrison will make thorough work in the Custom Department here and in that case I should like to get to appointments of Collector. Will you see General Mattock upon the subject - immediately or write him. The Delegation from the State will undoubtedly have great influence in making the appointment with General Mattock.
