The 1884 report encompasses the regions of the Bering and Chukchi seas, Point Hope, Kobuk River, Pribilof Islands, and Bogoslof Island, with much material on the natives and fisheries. It also contains the first recorded observations of the banks of the Kowak River, and contains photographic plates of the natives and the region, with two colored plates of birds.
