[Np, Washingto, 1850. 8pp. Dbd. A very good copy. A scarce speech by the well known Indian fighter, in which he announces his candidacy for re-election as territorial delegate to Congress. Sibley is best known for leading the expedition against the Sioux Indians in 1863 after the massacre of white settlers in Minnesota. He went on to become the first governor of Wisconsin.
