Catalogue of 570 exquisite works of European white glazes (mostly English - a large number of Leeds and salt glaze pieces - with some Italian and French; as well as both Chinese white and other Chinese porcelains; color plates show images of Chinese works in green, red, and violet), sold at auction on January 3, 4, and 5, 1918. With a brief introductory essay, A Note of White, by Dana H. Carroll. Carroll was a well-known cataloguer of collections of Asian works of art and compiled catalogues of the collections of Louis C. Tiffany, Charles Freer, and for many of New York's top auction houses, including Yamanaka & Company. Each of the items in this catalogue is well-annotated, and the color plates are exquisitely rich and in excellent condition. A valuable resource for any collector of European and/or Chinese glazes.
