Spine is soiled, somewhat obscuring title. A few letters in the title on the front cover are missing gilt. Edges are chipped and there are two short splits in cloth at foot of joints. The edges of several pages of text block are gently chipped, with a very short closed tear at fore edge of title page. The map of the Section East of the Missouri River is detached, with a small remnant still attached, but the map is present, with a small moisture stain at it's foot, and with several tears. The other maps are attached. The maps of Chicago and Cincinnati are lightly soiled. All other maps clean. The maps contained are The Section East of the Missouri River, The City of Chicago, The City of Cincinnati, The City of St. Louis, The City of San Francisco, and States and Territories West of the Missouri River.
