1591. Very Good Condition. A single sheet from an early German edition of de Bry. Hand colored scene of indigenous people's meeting with a Frigate. Contemporary or early hand coloring, chipping at edges, some browning and bleed through from text on verso, very slight fading, two old paper repairs through the text portion.
The scene is a pitched battle between two groups of indigenous people in canoes, one side with a pair of Europeans with long rifles.
