Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., 1891. Hardcover. Three volume mixed set of the English translation (all three volumes bear 1891 imprints; volume I states Third Edition, while volumes II and III state Second Edition). 8vo. Pebbled brown cloth with paper spine labels. xxxii, 532; 496; 509 pp. Rubbing to covers at edges and corners. Some chipping to cloth at head and tail of spine, with some wear and loss to the paper spine labels. Cloth beginning to split at the bottom of the front joint of volume III. Two previous owner's signatures to front free endpaper of volume I (with one of the signatures repeated to same in volumes II and III), with a third signature to half title in volume I. The folding chart in volume I has a long closed tear. The first quarter of volume I has been opened, and about the first 80 pages of volume II have been opened, but otherwise the leaves are mostly unopened. There is a small amount of pencil marginalia in volume II but the interiors seem mostly clean. Very good minus, no jackets. (Inventory #: 427238)
