In full, “It was just great seeing you again. Thanks for everything. The chance to meet with the Board and the breakfast with those top people were fine opportunities to get our message out. Most, I loved our private chat. I appreciate your willingness to think about Andover in time. I thought about Jim [her late husband] – how proud he’d be. (2) President Bush Typed Letter Signed “George” as President, 1 page, 6.75” x 8.75”. On pale green White House stationery, blind embossed presidential seal at top. Washington, September 5, 1990. To Mrs. Helen K. Copley, Chairman and CEO, The Copley Press, La Jolla, California. Fine condition.

A year earlier, the offices of “El Espectador,” a daily newspaper published in Bogota which openly criticized drug-trafficking, were bombed by the Medellin Cartel, an organized network of drug suppliers and smugglers originating in the city of Medellin, Colombia.
