Gloucestershire, England, 1901. unbound. 2 pages measuring a combined 7 x 9 inches, Morgan Hall, Fairford, Gloucestershire, England, March 17, 1901, agreeing to sit for a photograph, in part: "I shall be in town after Wednesday next and if your Mr. Len will call between 11 o'c and 1 o'c...I shall be pleased to sit for the photograph with him..." Foxing throughout but easily read. Accompanied by an autographed letter signed on a 3.5 x 4.5-inch card, Kensington, England, March 6, 1884, providing biographical information, in full: "I think the memorandum on the back of this card will answer your purpose." On the back, Abbey writes that he was born in Philadelphia U.S.A., April 1, 1852, and lists various portraits and artistic creations. Very good(-) condition. American painter who enjoyed equal success as an illustrator in England.
