London: Constable and Company Ltd, 1961. First edition, first printing. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Illustrated by Constance Marshall. 8vo. (181)pp. Blue textured paper over boards, gilt spine title and gilt vignette of R. Dragon on the upper board. Light wear and soiling, trace of foxing on the upper edge of the text block, else this is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is unclipped and shows the first state price of 12s 6d. There is some light soiling but it is still in very good condition. Charming account of a friendly dragon who had spent time in King Arthur's kitchen then was granted his wish to go on a quest, just like one of the Round Table knights.Preceded by two other tales of R. Dragon, though they seem to have no Arthurian connection.
