Accompanied by a signed cachet cover of Corporal Charles W. Lindberg raising the flag on Mount Suribachi, postmarked in Washington D.C. on February 23, 1989. The photo is in fine condition. The envelope has a small stain on the top edge, but is otherwise in near fine condition. United States Marine who was part of the combat patrol that climbed Mount Suribachi and raised the first of two U.S. flags on the summit during the battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.
