The Williamsburg Bridge: An Account of the Ceremonies Attending the Formal Opening of the Structure, December the Nineteenth, MDCCCIII
New York: The Celbration Committee of the Board of Aldermen of the City of New York, 1903. Cloth. Very Good. Uncommon history of the ceremonies attending the 1903 opening of the Williamsburg Bridge, along with "an illustrated historical and descriptive sketch of the enterprise by Edward Hungerford". SIGNED on the front free endpaper BY PETER HOLLER (Chairman of the Alderman Committee), who, along with Mayor Seth Low, presided over the opening festivities. A solid copy to boot. Tight and VG in its mustard-yellow cloth, with light soiling to the panels and light wear along the tips. Quarto, dozens of impressive black-and-white photos thruout complementing the text. A very nice piece of turn-of-the-century New York history.
