Nielsen has sketched a likely preliminary portrait of a young man, mid-chest length, with chiseled face and hair a bit wind-blown, looking to the right, approximately 11 1/4 (width) by 10 (height) inches. The sketch is accomplished with artist's pencil and possibly charcoal for shading. The artist has signed in the lower right corner, "Kay Nielsen." Signature is prominent but smudged. Matted with archival beige board and framed using conservation glass in black wood and bronzed inner frame to measure 18 (width) by 17 (height) inches. Additional images on request. Signed sketches, especially with these dimensions, are uncommon. Fine. (Inventory #: 4197)
