Folio, pp. [16], 194, [2], 278 (i.e. 288), [4]; printer's device on title page; contemporary full paneled calf, the panel surrounded by triple blindstamped borders incorporating small medallion portraits and floral devices, the whole neatly rebacked, blindstamped spine in 5 compartments, gilt-lettered in 2, endpapers renewed; original brass hasps but clasps not preserved, some dampstaining to bottom margin of the title page, occasional spots and stains, and a touch or worming towards the back, but overall a very good copy. Collection of Greek speeches with Latin translations and Latin speeches edited, annotated, published and printed by Henri Estienne, mainly from Livy, others from Sallust, Tacitus, Herodotus, Thucydides, and Quintus Curtius. This copy with the uncorrected state of p. 288 which is numbered 278. Adams C-2486; Renouard, p. 133-4; Schreiber, 176.
