Winning awards for his innovations in printmaking, his proficiency extended from wood engravings and color block prints to lithography and intaglio methods such as drypoint, mezzotints, soft ground etchings and aquatints-the last of which garnered an honorable mention in the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Pedre de Lemos was the first director of the Stanford Art Museum. Organized by the Monterey Museum of Art with guest curators Robert W. Edwards, Ph.D., and Julianne Burton-Carvajal, Ph.D. This exhibition includes prints, oil paintings, watercolor, drawings, calligraphy, leather work, pottery, cement work, and ephemera.
