Breton, Heisler, Peret, Garry Davis, etc. Davis was hailed by some for renouncing his US citizenship and becoming a "citizen of the world." Surrealist enthusiasm was short-lived, however, and by October Breton announced his separation from the cause, as Davis was then drawing assistance from the Church in his desire to become a conscientious objector. ; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 4 pp .
