All envelopes near fine, contents uniformly fine.. Archive of 116 loose flyers promoting Arleen Schloss' weekly event "Wednesday at A's". Additionally, there are 7 different xeroxed packets each containing a selection of copy art and flyers - a total of 206 pieces. Wednesday at A's was an on-going performance jam held in Arlene Schloss' Lower East Side loft on Broome Street. It began in 1979 and continued until 1981. During its tenure, the venue offered performance, art and music featuring artists such as Jackie Apple, Eric Bogosian, and Schloss herself. Musical acts drew from the New York Punk / No-Wave scenes and featured performers like Alan Suicide, Thurston Moore, and Glenn Branca, Flyers for Wednesday at A's were produced at Tod Jorgensen's Copy Shop on Mott Street - a nexus for what came to be known as the "New York Color Xerox School". Packets of copy art were offered for sale at the loft in color-copy decorated manila folders.
