Eight leaves (p. 1 through p. 16) from the second issue of Shakespeare's Third Folio published in London in 1664, consisting of the full text of "The London Prodigal." This is the first Folio appearance of this play. It first appeared in quarto in 1605 with the following publication information: "The London Prodigal. As it was plaide by the Kings Maiesties seruvants. By William Shakespeare, London. Printed by T.C. for Nathaniel Butter, and are to be sold neere S. Austins gate, at the signe of the pyde Bull. 1605." Some page corners slightly rounded. Small tape repair to a top corner of the seventh leaf, not affecting text. Presented unbound in its own custom made, brown folder with decorative paper label. Very good condition in a very good folder. (Inventory #: 0125)
