The edges are untrimmed and the left top corner has a one-inch piece missing. Only a few light soil spots on fold edges. Margins are cropped in the image due to scanner size. Plate imprint visible. There are three maps in one, showing the Arctic Ocean (Mer Glaciale) and its coastline, with Japan, Kamchatka, Korea, and part of Alaska drawn. The smaller maps are alternate representations of Kamchatka, with major differences and sources noted in an inset of remarks. The title continues "Pour servir d'eclaircissement aux Articlea du Supplement de Encyclopedie qui concernent le Passage aux Indes par le Nord. Gravee sous la direction de Mr. De Vaugondy en 1772."
