A small octavo measuring 8 1/8 by 5 3/8 inches with a hand written number written at the lower edge of the rear board which probably identified a book read by a previous owner. In a very near fine, unclipped dust jacket with a 1" closed tear to the lower edge of the front panel and with a nearly rectangular 1 by 1/2 inch piece cut from the lower edge of the rear panel to expose the handwritten number at the lower edge of the rear board noted above. The author's seventh novel of historical fiction taking place in the early 1830's in New York City 350 pages of text.
