(New York): Full Court Press. (1975). First. First edition, simultaneous paperback edition. Perfectbound wrappers. Fine. Inscribed: "Allen Ginsberg for Elbert Lenrow Oct 7 1980 w/best wishes." Ginsberg has additionally hand captioned the frontispiece image of he and Bob Dylan sitting by Jack Kerouac's grave: "Bob Dylan + AG improvising ghost blues at Kerouac's grave." Lenrow was a professor at the New School who became friends with Jack Kerouac while he was still a student. Kerouac in turn introduced him to Allen Ginsberg and Neal Cassidy, who would often gather at Lenrow's Central Park West apartment for informal discussions about life and literature. He later penned a book about his friendship with Kerouac and remained in contact with Ginsberg until Lenrow's death in 1993. A nice association. . (Inventory #: 408004)
