Boston: Little, Brown & Co, 1938. Cloth. Good +/Very Good. A perfectly serviceable, cleanly ex-libris copy of the September 1938 stated 1st edition. Solid and Good+ in its oatmeal cloth, with small tape ghosts at the panel edges, a well-removed plate from the front free endpaper and an almost fully-removed library pocket at the rear endpaper. Other than that, clean, tight and solid. And in a crisp, price-intact, VG- dustjacket, with light soiling --and one small closed tear-- along the front panel and a 1" abrasion where the library tag had once been along the foot of the spine. Octavo, nicely illustrated thruout by the great Robert Lawson. (Inventory #: 12512)
