[Original comic art]: Satiric Boston Anti-Suffrage Cartoon
Boston. [circa 1915?]. Pen and ink drawing on thin card stock. Measuring 17" x 12.5". Signed "Norman" in lower right corner. Small chip at one corner, some overall soiling, very good. The two panel cartoon shows a line of about a dozen women in suffrage sashes and hats, carrying signs for Votes for Women and for a "Grand Suffrage Meeting" at Forum Hall in Boston. When they cross paths with a man carrying a sign for a sale of Easter hats at a local store, they turn about face and head to the sale, one saying "Hurry, the Suffrage Parade can wait." .
