Many interesting half page and full page photographs of machinery, workers, and industrial processes involved in keeping foodstuffs refrigerated.To support the development of cold technologies and to the economic development potential they represented, an international organization, the IIR was formed with its first congress at the Sorbonne. For Argentina, whose exports of meat were crucial to its economy, refrigeration was essential. But Basadre also used his report to highlight the overall growth of Argentina and to correct what he felt were misapprehensions about tis economy.
