An account of the making of the film based on an Antarctic expedition very dear to the British. 12mo, 151pp, with 8 plates (both sides) from photos, illustrations in text from drawings (sketch maps), and charts. Introduction by John Mills. Original green boards. Boards show signs of age as does the dust jacket which has sticky tape holding it together and one chip out of the back cover. Inside the front cover is a snapshot photograph from the 1940's with the original owner's name taped on the book shelf along with his Polar collection behind.
