Slight toning and light soil on edges. Engraving by Laguillermie, printing by de Lemercier, circa 1850. This a hand-colored map of North and Central America, with detailed engraved illustrations surrounding it, from Mayan temples and serpents to glaciated mountains and polar bears. The northwest boundary of the United States interestingly extends well into British Columbia, and California, New Mexico, and Arizona still seem to be part of Mexico.
