Boston: J. E. Tilton & Co, 1863. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good binding. In publisher's brown textured cloth, with fairly restrained gilt titling -- typical binding from the period of the Civil War. The binding is tight and square, though there is some loss the endpapers and preliminary pages from some varmint or other; the loss is mainly to the edges. The attractive title page is printed in black and red. A gift inscription is pencilled in and dated 1864. Illutrated throughout with in-text engraved illustrations. All in all, a quite a nice First Edition copy. Very Good binding. (Inventory #: 274247)
