Presentation Copy: "For Miriam's birthday 1923 With love from Lilla Cabot Perry," on front free fly. Cabot was an Impressionist artist, greatly influenced by Emerson's philosophies and her friendship with Camille Pissarro. Inscribed in the same year (1923) which Cabot became critically ill with diptheria as well as a complete mental breakdown. Near fine copy of a book usually found in lesser conditon.
