Tbilisi, Georgia: George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian ArtHistory and Heritage Preservation, 2008. Softcover. NF. Slate card wraps with stone cross image and cream lettering in English/Georgian. 136 pp. with 72 color plates and bw illus. throughout. Text in Georgian and English (not parallel). Tracing the crosses and their chronology over Georgia, and deciphering their inscriptions, has helped to discern a close connection between the monuments and the social structure of the population. A beautiful book about an uncommon but important subject.
