Wrapped in protective mylar, the collection contains 9 individual pieces as follows:1&2. Two copies of a typewritten French press announcement for the film, including cast and crew credits, short synopsis, and an excerpt from a review of the film by critic Louis Skorecki, of the French newspaper Libération. Text in French. 8 1/4" x 11.5".3. A copy of the full review of the film by Louis Skorecki, taken from Libération. The copy has been glued together from two pieces of paper, top and bottom. Text in French. 10 1/4" x 12 3/4". 4-9. 3 different b&w photographic stills from the film. Each is 9.5" x 11", and features the lead character Allie, played by actor Chris Parker. He plays a record in the first, dances in the second, and walks the streets in the third. 2 copies of each. Press announcements with light water stains along some edges. Full film review with small brown tape residue at bottom of page and minor chip to top right corner. All photo stills with water stains. Materials in overall good to good- condition. Scarce collection of materials. Jim Jarmusch (born January 22, 1953) has been considered one of the leading and most critically acclaimed voices in American independent cinema since the 1980s. "Permanent Vacation", Jarmusch's final year university project at NYU film school, shot on 16mm film, was completed shortly after he dropped out, in 1980 and became the director's feature film debut. The film is often credited as the birth of the director's original style and character schemes. The film won the Josef von Sternberg Award at the 1980 Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival.
