A wide range of Cheltenham topics are covered including: circulating libraries, billiard halls, backgammon rooms, the spa and its mineral waters, theater, coaches, and boarding houses. Glocester topics include: trade and manufactures (including descriptions of individual companies), the city and county jail, and local canals. Illustrated with two aquatint views by Spornberg (not in Abbey). Light foxing.
