Very Good. 1898. Single page, original ink with light soiling, creases from folding, and ink smears. July 15, 1898 letter from H. L. Warren of the Law Office of Warren and Fergusson of Alburquerque, New Mexico addressed to Harry Doughtery who was an attorney in Socorro. Warren states that he was planning to travel to Socorro to be present at the habeas corpus for Bill McNew. McNew was an outlaw and cattle rancher who was indicted with Lee Oliver and Jim Gilliland regarding the disappearance and presumed murder of Colonel Fountain in 1896.
